Hiking Trails

After a 5 minutes walk you will arrive in one of the largest contiguous forest areas in North Rhine-Westphalia. We would be glad to support you with free hiking suggestions. Hiking maps can be bought on-site.

Beaver hiking trail (12 km),

leading you to the beaver lodges along the Weisse Wehe

Kupferroute (13 km)

the Copper trail: from the hotel on the Eifelsteig's partner trail to Stolberg Castle and back by bus

Hasselbachgraben (22 km),

very long, but very very nice hiking trail to the first sloping downs of the highmoor Hohes Venn and along a water moat through the forest

Daffodil hiking trail (9 km)

- a beautiful natural spectacle during daffodil's bloom in springtime in the National parc, when there are thousands of wild daffodils in flower!

Kall Trail (8 km)

the setting of the famous Hurtgenwald battle in winter 1944, historically highly recommendable.

Adventurous hiking tours for children

- for example to the Solchbachtal with it's brooks and the old enchanted ore mine or as hiking rallye with lots of questions to answer: that's how the little ones have fun in the nature!
